The world's first and only stork hospital was in the Ottoman Empire! During the Ottoman period, there was a special interest and care for birds. As one of the most magnificent symbols of this interest, you could find Birdhouses aesthetically and very elegantly processed on the exterior facades of structures such as monuments, mosques, inns, caravanserais, covered bazaars, bridges, fountains, and residences. Beautiful examples still exist today.
In this collection, inspired by Bird Palaces, which are magnificent reflections of fine craftsmanship in terms of architecture and also serve as a good example of animal love, you can also find Ottoman influences in terms of drawing elements. The pictorial composition, inspired by 'zencerek' patterns, bird palaces, and ornamentation techniques, is uniquely designed to tell its own story.
